The Test Manager IDE provides a familiar set of windows for performing the testing activites.

The user interface is divided into four main areas:

1) The left-hand area displays hierarchical views of the Test Suites and the Runs in the current workspace.These tree views can be expanded and collapsed in the usual way. A pop-up menu is available in this area, which provides context-sensitive menu options, depending on the node is the tree that is selected.

2) The right-hand area displays an editor for the element that is currently selected on the tree in the left-hand area. There is a different editor for each type of test object. The editors allow the attributes of the test objects to be modified, and also provide an area for the user to enter some free text notes to associate with the object.

3) At the top there is a menu bar which provides an alternative method of accessing the functionality of the system.

4) Finally, the bottom area of the screen is used by the application to give status information to the user.
